La Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has granted in Rome a Special recognition to Animal Data Analytics (ADA), for his contribution to the development of innovative solutions in the field of Digital biosecurity and the sustainable transformation of livestock farming.
The recognition is framed in the area of “Sustainable Livestock Transformation, One Health, Animal Health and Reference Centres” (Sustainable Livestock Transformation, One Health, Animal Health and Reference Centers), on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of FAO and the World Food Forum 2025, and was delivered by the organization's own director general, What Dongyu.
As highlighted Carlos Piñeiro, CEO of Animal Data Analytics, "This is a very special moment for us. This recognition validates years of work in innovation and data management applied to animal health and sustainability, and demonstrates that Spain can also lead the way toward safer and more efficient livestock farming."
FAO has awarded ADA for the development of Biorisk, a system of digital biosecurity that integrates science, data and technology to improve health management on farms, prevent risks and promote livestock farming healthier, more sustainable and aligned with the principles of One Health —the approach that integrates human, animal and environmental health.
The award recognizes the best practices and innovations that contribute to the transformation of agri-food systems and the advancement of global food security, in line with the FAO's “Four Betters”: better production, better nutrition, better environment y better life (better production, better nutrition, better environment and better life).
According to Carlos, “behind this achievement is a passionate and committed team at ADA that deeply believes in the power of data to improve the way we produce food and protect animal health.”
This international recognition places Animal Data Analytics as a reference in Digital transformation applied to biosecurity and sustainable animal production, reinforcing the role of Segovia's innovation in the major global challenges linked to food and climate change.
